Peter Livanos is Chairman of Gaslog Ltd, Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises Ltd, EnergyLog Ltd, DryLog Ltd and TankLog Ltd. He is a Director of MW&L and holds directorships and memberships in various international companies and committees. He is a member of the Council of the American Bureau of Shipping and Chairman of the Greek National Committee. Peter is also a member of the Board of Trustees for New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Industry Knowledge
Peter is an entrepreneur and businessperson who founded MW&L Capital Partners Ltd, GasLog LNG Services Ltd and Seachem Tankers Ltd, and has been the head of 7 different companies.
Early in his career Peter was responsible for aquiring Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd for the family, and remained as the company’s Vice Chairman until its sale to Ford Motor Company in 1987. In 1989 he formed Seachem Tankers Ltd, which joined forces with Odfjell in 2000, creating Odfjell ASA, one of the world’s largest chemical-tanker operators.
Peter owns the Greek shipping company Ceres Hellenic, and was involved in the restructuring of the family shipping company into the group Ceres Hellenic. He controls 100% of Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises Ltd. In addition, he pioneered the move of Greek shipping into LNG transportation and is the controlling shareholder of GasLog Ltd, one of the largest private LNG fleets.
