Jack So Chak-kwong is Chairman of the Airport Authority Hong Kong, a position he assumed on 1 June 2015. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of AIA Group Limited and China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited, a Senior Advisor to Credit Suisse, Greater China and an Advisor at the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited.
Jack So Chak-kwong began his career with the Hong Kong Government and joined the private sector in 1978, having held a variety of senior positions in stockbroking, banking and property development.
He served as Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation, and as Deputy Chairman and Group Managing Director of Pacific Century CyberWorks Limited. He was an independent Director of The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and an independent director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited.
Jack served as Chairman of the Committee on Economic Co-operation with Mainland China from 2013 to 2015. In March 2018, he was appointed member of the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisors on Innovation and Strategic Development.
He was a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference from 2008 to 2018 and an International Business Advisor to the Mayor of Beijing.
