Jim Hagemann Snabe

Jim Hagemann Snabe has developed his career through 24 years of service in the IT industry. He started his career at SAP AG in 1990 and following many leadership roles (Managing Director, SAP Svenska AB, Regional Managing Director, SAP Nordic – COO, Senior Vice-President, SAP AG, Germany – General Manager, SAP AG, Germany – Corporate Officer, SAP AG, Germany – Executive Board Member, SAP AG Germany) with the company he was appointed an Executive Board Member in 2008 and co-CEO of SAP AG in 2010.

In 2014 he decided to leave the role as an executive and leverage his digital experience to help accelerate the digital transformation of society and global non-IT companies.

Board Mandates

Mr Snabe has been the Chairman of A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S since early 2017, having previously been one of their Non-Executive Directors. He has also been Vice-Chairman of Bang & Olufsen A/S from September 2012 to October 2017.

He is Vice Chairman on the board of Allianz SE.

He is a Senior Advisor to Warburg Pincus LLB and Advisory Board Member to Docusign Inc as well as being a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum since 2014. In this role he has been involved in projects related to the digital future of Europe, driven by the European Commission.

From 2015 to 2016 Mr Snabe was Chairman of the World Economic Forum USA.

He is an academic contributor to and a member of the Board Leadership Society in Denmark and is involved in developing and delivering a new executive leadership development programme at Copenhagen Business School. In 2016 he was appointed Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School.

Mr Snabe is Chairman designate of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG, a role he will assume in early 2018.
